Founding partner Jennifer Selendy joined a panel titled “Building High Value Law Firm Practices” at the International Legal Finance Association’s (ILFA) 2022 Annual Conference, a trade association for the global commercial legal finance community.
As part of the “Building High Value Law Practices” panel, Jennifer spoke about the useful role litigation funders can play in enabling important cases that might otherwise not be pursued and the perils of potentially allowing non-lawyers to invest in U.S. law firms. Jennifer invited funders to think more like clients in choosing cases and firms to fund and to be willing to share risk on innovative cases.
Jennifer was joined on the panel by Natasha Harrison, Pallas Partners LLP; and Phil Iovieno, Cadwalader. Charles Schmerler, Senior Managing Director & Head of Litigation Finance at Pretium, moderated the conversation.
This year’s conference took place at the Morgan Library in New York City.
