Deisy Abarca-Espiritu earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was a member of the Fordham Moot Court Board. During her time in law school, Deisy was a finalist in multiple moot court competitions, including a National Champion for the 2024 American College of Trial Lawyer’s National Moot Court Tournament.
While in law school, Deisy externed for Judge John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She was also a legal intern for Neighborhood Defender Services of Harlem, a public defense organization that advocates for immigrant communities in Upper Manhattan.
