Jessica Underwood is a litigator with experience in complex commercial and class action litigation and arbitration for plaintiffs and defendants.
Jessica has represented clients in consumer class action, antitrust, contract, professional liability, and fiduciary duty matters. Among other things, she was part of a team that obtained dismissal of two nationwide class actions for failure to state a claim against one of the country’s largest national soft drink manufacturers. See “Dr Pepper Sheds ‘Diet’ Drinks Weight Loss Dispute,” Law360, 4/19/2018. Jessica’s clients have included financial services firms, venture capital firms, and product manufacturers.
Jessica has a wide-ranging public interest practice that has included work in landlord-tenant and child custody disputes, as well as advisory representation for a non-profit art museum.
Jessica earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Baylor Law School, where she graduated first in her class and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Baylor Law Review. She served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Catharina Haynes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to the Honorable Sidney A. Fitzwater of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
